Are the speed breakers really essential?

The answer is an absolute yes. For those who are not aware, speed breakers or bumps are the raised areas of pavement that are designed to control the speed of the vehicles. They are essential to ensure your safety when on road as they help in diverting and slowing down traffic.

According to the Wikipedia, “Speed bumps (or speed breakers) are the common name for a family of traffic calming devices that use vertical deflection to slow motor-vehicle traffic in order to improve safety conditions. Variations include the speed hump (or speed ramp), speed cushion, and speed table.”

These speed bumps or breakers are generally 3 to 6 inches high and are mostly found in parking lots. Let’s go through some of the benefits of using these speed bumps.

1.    Slowing traffic
Most of the accidents occur due to too much traffic and in such situations speed bumps effectively helps in slowing down the traffic speed. This is why they are so important.

2.    Decreasing traffic
The volume of traffic can also be reduced considerably by using these bumps as they can easily divert traffic to other streets. You can also use other traffic safety equipment like rubber corner guards for diverting traffic and ensuring safety.

3.    Increased safety
With the use of speed breakers on the road, the drivers drive slow and the traffic also becomes less. These as a result can reduce the number of accidents, keeping you safer.

Look for a company that offers high quality traffic safety equipment to ensure complete safety.

In order to prevent accidents from happening traffic safety equipment makers have designed blind spot mirrors which are placed straight ahead in intersections letting people see around corners and navigate easily without any accidents. Blind spot mirrors along with Speed breakers make roads safer.

Mirrors are not just used in traffic management. Security forces make use of mirrors too. You may have seen security guards use these big circular mirrors to check under your vehicle and over it, these traffic safety mirrors are manufactured by traffic safety equipment makers and you can buy them and use them at your office or industry as the need be.
  • Indoor Dome Mirrors
Large industrial areas where several people are involved in different activities need to be inspected and kept under control. Smaller versions are used inside elevators as well. These are made specifically for indoor use. Choose whatever you want according to your needs.
