A Guide to explain about Road Barrier Manufacturers and Traffic Cones Manufacturers

An efficient road barrier has become an important need today. With the increasing number of vehicles in populated areas such as hospitals, offices, public places and residential places, road barriers are the solutions to ease the parking issues, divert traffic, controlling speed, management of the lane, and highlighting construction zone.

It is seen that water filled barriers are becoming a very popular road work barrier these days and a way of delineating traffic around work sites. As compared to concrete units, that are heavy, water barriers are only heavy when filled.

It's a cost-effective solution as they are easier to transport and faster to deploy than concrete. The reason being, a single worker can lift them when it is empty and then filled once in position. It is ideal for guiding traffic through diversions and contraflows. The road barrier manufacturer that manufacturer’s good quality are highly resistant to severe impacts and harsh weather conditions.

To control traffic or manage crowded places to higher danger zones, traffic cones come into the picture. Traffic cones are very helpful in keeping work hazards at bay in indoors or outdoors and is available in orange, blue or red color used on roads or on construction sites. Traffic cones manufacturers manufacture many different shapes such as square or hexagonal shape.

Generally, there are three types of traffic control markers based on their shape: Drums also known as barrels, cones, and tubes. They can be differentiated based on their top: flat or round hole, grabber; a knob or a pick up by and a looper; a ring through which rope can be strung.
  • Drum: It is the most common safety indicator which is used on freeways and is like a barrel-shaped that stands out three feet tall. It is quite heavy, durable, and can be seen from far away hence they are used for high-speed traffic areas. They can be mounted with extra reflectors.
  • Cone: Traffic cones come in all shapes, sizes, and colors but they are not used very frequently these days. It can be found in parking lots or on sides of the roads where cars are parked temporarily. They are usually carried in an emergency or immediate situations.
  • Market: They are ideal for use in public streets festivals to show that the streets are closed being closed off for the passerby. They have loops where the rope can be tied to create a path.
  • Channelizer: Channelizers are tubes used to guide the drivers to drive on low speeds around or through the areas of work zone activities. They have heavy bases and two or three reflector rings at the top.
  • Delineator: They have small bases but they can adhere to the ground for the long term and mostly used in roundabouts and merges. It is visible clearly and easy to deploy.
