Educate Your Kids about Road Safety

Children as such are very vulnerable, and they are not bothered about the world around them; they live in their own world. The biggest fear of parents is their children going out on the roads, all by themselves.

I have personally stopped my kids, a thousand times over, to don’t go for bicycling out on the roads. The number of vehicles running on the roads is practically dangerous for kids.

A small practice which I have followed with my kids is to educate them about the roads, traffic rules, and safety. They must know about the various signs that can be seen on the roads, the various products that are used to ensure safety of the vehicles, as well as the people on the roads.

A year back my kids did not know about rubber speed bumps, traffic lights etc. Slowly, I took the initiative to tell them everything about traffic and its rules. It was a learning experience for me too.

Now, when they are out on the roads, (not alone), but always with their parents, they know what are rubber speed bumps and what role do they play.

What are the benefits of a toll plaza barrier?

We all feel restrictions or barriers are no good for us. But just the way rules are not liked by anyone one of us but we still have to follow them, in the same manner barriers may not be liked by us, but they must be there to protect us.

This is what I realized a few days back, when my cousin met with an accident, near the highway, maybe there was no barrier and due to which he met with the accident. Now when he is in the ICU, we all are thinking what difference it would have made if there were toll plaza barriers placed on the highways?

The difference is that with the barriers, there is a level of safety that will be in the back of our minds. We will not over speed and will drive on an average speed.
